Kerry Linder: Kerry was born and raised in the Netherlands Antilles, on the island of Curacao, where she began studying classical piano at a very young age. After graduating from high school, she moved to the US, earning a Bachelors degree from Simmons College and a Masters degree in Applied Linguistics from Georgetown University. For the last twenty years, she has been living and working in NYC where she has studied voice with Shirley Meier and Joyce Suskind.

Reviews of Sail Away With Me released June, 2004

Kerry Linder"Well done! Ms. Linder, who hails from Curacao, opens her discography with a winner. This one will evoke Astrud Gilberto or Lani Hall, but you'll walk away with a new imprint, as Ms. Linder's voice is unique. Alternating between English and Portuguese with ease, Ms. Linder demonstrates how she earned an advanced degree in Linguistics. The title track memorializes those lost in the 9/11 attack. My favorite tracks included a Paul Simon-penned gem I wasn't familiar with, 'St. Judy's Comet,' and being the sucker for standards that I am, the Billie Holiday classic 'God Bless The Child' and 'As Time Goes By.' First-rate production, and extended riffs by the backing musicians are never, ever an intrusion. If you like Brazilian beats, keep an eye on the label, too.  Highly Recommended. Three microphones (out of four)."

"As the title implies, this CD is pure, blissful escapism. With arrange-ments painted in a distinct Latin hue, blended with Kerry's soft, breezy voice, the sensation is that of a sailboat a drift on gentle waves, or a hot air balloon as its drifting noiselessly across a blue sky. Throughout this virtual island hop, you'll be introduced to well-crafted remakes of such classics as Paul Simon's 'St. Judy’s Comet,' Billie Holiday’s 'God Bless the Child' and Horace Silver's 'Song for My Father.' The CD leads off the title track, a Kerry Linder original, which sets the stage for the tracks that follow. The last of the twelve, 'As Time Goes By,' eliminates any doubt as to the picture Kerry is creating for her listeners."
